VETERANS AND RESERVIST CAREERS

Veteran owned and operated, DEWC Services values the critical contributions that former and current ADF members bring to the private sector. Currently, more than 30% of DEWC's workforce consists of veterans or individuals actively serving in the reserve forces. DEWC prioritises flexibility for its reservists, fostering a dual capability to enhance Defence operations.

GRADUATE CAREERS

At DEWC Services, we offer a tailored Graduate Development Program (GDP) of up to two years, with: ​

  • a strong focus on aligning your individual program with your knowledge, skills, experience and career ambitions;

  • flexible, permanent employment;

  • well-rounded mentorship from experienced senior professionals and a recent graduate to help with your career development and settling into your new role;​

  • regular support and engagement with the Chief Technology Office to identify opportunities and review your professional development needs; and​

  • an integrated team environment working alongside the brightest minds in Defence. 

Throughout your GDP experience, you will be provided with specialised training and opportunities to apply your academic or professional expertise to Defence’s C4ISREW challenges. This may include collaborating with senior experts through DEWC Services’ Internal Research and Development (IRAD) Program to develop skills and technologies to support Defence outcomes.​

Professional training and development

We tailor professional development to the individual rather than adopting a one-size-fits-all approach. All DEWC personnel commit to an ongoing professional development plan which ensures they continue to build on and grow their skills and knowledge. ​

Defence experience

To provide employees with a true appreciation and understanding of the ADF’s mission, DEWC Services promotes and supports active participation and involvement in the ADF Reserves. Interested graduates can commit to the Reserves through flexible work arrangements.

Mentoring program

Each graduate is assigned a senior mentor who provides guidance, shares experiences and assists in setting and achieving professional goals. Graduates are also provided with the opportunity to be paired with a peer mentor, who can share advice based on their recent experience of the Graduate Development Program.​
