Local industry alliance brings information warfare expertise to Global Information Conference

Australia’s leading Information Warfare (IW) consortium, the Australian Information Warfare Alliance (AIWA), will join Government, industry and academia from across the world at the Global Information Conference - Phoenix Challenge being held in Adelaide on 11-14th June.

In a deteriorating strategic environment, information is increasingly being used as a form of power – to influence, sway decisions and impact military capability. The event will focus on accelerating solutions to some of the Indo-Pacific region’s biggest IW challenges.

“Themed Innovating for deterrence and readiness in the Indo-Pacific, this is a chance to shine a spotlight on what’s happening across the country and on our regional shores to accelerate information power capability,” said Elysium EPL Director Anthony Allen.

“Being able to showcase how Australia is leading the charge in this space through initiatives like the AIWA is a big drawcard for the event and demonstrates how collaboration across industry can help boost Defence capability.”

The AIWA – whose founding members include Elysium EPL, DEWC Services, SOIO – School of Information Operations, and CyberOps - is a Gold Sponsor of the Conference.

AIWA spokesperson Allan Dundas said, “The Australian Information Warfare Alliance is a powerful collaboration of like-minded sovereign companies committed to closely working together on advancing Australia’s IW capability and addressing national Defence IW imperatives for asymmetric advantage.”

“In an age of big data, emerging technologies and increasingly modern and sophisticated threats, strengthening Australia’s IW and cyber capabilities is vital to ensuring a more agile, responsive and effective Australian Defence Force.”
